Trash & Recycling Information
***IF THERE IS A HOLIDAY DURING THE WEEK, PICKUP WILL BE ONE DAY LATE FOR THE REST OF THAT WEEK. THERE ISN’T ANY TRASH OR RECYCLE PICK UP ON FRIDAY***
There are three sizes of automated trash containers available: 95 gallon = $55; 65 gallon = $50; 35 gallon = $45.
There is a maximum of three cans per household.
Additional Automated Trash & Recycling Containers can be purchased at the Township Clerk’s Office.

Should be bagged and placed into the automated trash containers with your normal trash for collection.
Located at the Recycling Center (DPW Yard)
Items Accepted: clothing, shoes, sneakers, belts, purses, blankets, sheets, pillowcases, drapes and stuffed toys.
Your donations will not be cut up or shredded.
We do not accept rags, fabric scraps, toys or household goods.

The following items can be DROPPED OFF at the Department of Public Works Yard (Route 539). These items will not be picked-up with bulk pick-up: Televisions, Computers (Hard Drives & Laptops), Monitors, Scanners, Printers, Keyboards & Mice, Servers, Modems, Fax Machines, Main Frames, Stereos & Radio Equipment, Speakers and MP3 Players

*** ALL COLLECTIONS MUST BE PLACED CURBSIDE BY 6:00 A.M. ON THE MONDAY MORNING OF THE COLLECTION WEEK. ONCE A STREET HAS BEEN COLLECTED, THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS WILL NOT RETURN UNTIL THE NEXT SCHEDULED MONTH. ***
Please be sure to separate bulk trash (i.e. mattresses, box springs, furniture, plastic toys, etc.) from recyclable items left at the curb for collection (i.e. metal, leaves, brush).
The Township of Little Egg Harbor DOES NOT collect kitchen / bathroom cabinets, boats (cut up or otherwise), hot tubs, any form of fiberglass, rock, concrete, tile, soil, construction debris, tires, propane tanks or wood fencing.
DO NOT BAG YOUR LEAVES ANYMORE, rake or blow your leaves curbside on the week your zone is due for pickup and the Department of Public Works will pick up the leaves with a vacuum truck.

Branches must be no larger then 4 inches in diameter and 4 feet in length. No stumps or roots will be picked up.
Christmas Trees will be collected with the normal brush pick-up.
Please separate recyclable metals from other items intended for collection.
