Mayor Scott Stites is a 1987 graduate of Sayreville War Memorial High School. Scott is a certified mechanic in refrigeration and air conditioning. Scott is a member of the Tuckerton Masonic Lodge #4. In 1997 Scott moved to Little Egg Harobr with his wife, Christina. Scott owns a home in the Mystic Island section of the township He enjoys spending quality family time with his wife Christina and their two children, Scotty and Victoria.
Mayor Stites has been a member of the Township Committee Since 2002. He currently serves as a member of the Planning Board, Natural Lands Trust Committee, and serves as our representative to the Community Development Block Grant Program. Scott is also liason to the Community Activities Board.
Despite his busy schedule, Mayor Stites can be found at the Community Center on Friday evenings, actively involved in Open Rec Night. As the liason and an active member of the Community Activities Board its normal to see Scott handing out popcorn at our drive in movie events or serving hamburgers at our senior barbeques and family events.
Scott's active involvement within the community is consistant to his own personal objectives in quality of life issues.
