Committeeman Ray Gormley commenced his first term on the Township Committee on January 1, 2000. He was selected by his governing body colleagues to serve as Mayor in 2004/05 and re-elected by the governing body for 2010. He has been re-elected as a Committeeman for the Township of Little Egg Harbor at the general election. He is still a Planning Board member and was sworn in as the Mayor of the Township on January 1, 2010.
Ray is a lifelong resident of Little Egg Harbor Township and owns a home in the Parkertown section of the township. He enjoys spending quality family time with his son Ryan. Ray is also a seasoned outdoorsman. He has traveled to different regions of the country on hunting and fishing excursions.
Committeeman Ray Gormley spearhead the Parkertown Dock Project which is widely used by the residents throughout the year. Community involvement is important to Ray and in addition to serving on the Township Committee he is also an active volunteer firefighter with the Parkertown Volunteer Fire Company and is an active volunteer at the Little Egg Harbor Community Center.
Ray is the owner of My Three Sons Seafood & Produce located along Route 9 in the Parkertown section of the township. As a local business owner, he has had the opportunity to meet many residents and visitors. He continues and looks forward to working with all the residence to make Little Egg Harbor one of the best towns not only to live and work in, but one of the best places to raise a family.
