The Zoning Office is responsible for enforcing land use and development ordinances. Land use regulations combined with the zoning map determine which uses are permitted in particular land use zones in order to ensure consistent and reasonable land use patterns within the municipality. The effective enforcement of zoning regulations ensures a positive quality of life and stable property values.
The Zoning Office issues zoning permits for new home construction, additions or renovations, decks, fences, signs, pools, sheds, patios, driveways and commercial construction. Also, home occupation permits and home profession permits are issued by the Zoning Office.
