Voting Information for 2008

  • March 11, 2008 from 2 -9pm Special School Board Election. Voting at your designated polls.
  • Tuesday, March 25th. is the Last Day to REgister to Vote in th April School Elections.
  • April 15, 2008 Annual School Board Election. Voting at your designated polls.
  • Tuesday, May 13th. is the voter registration deadline for the June Primary Election
  • Tuesday, May 27th. is the Last Day to Apply by Mail for an Absentee Ballot for the June Primary Election.
  • June 3, 2008 Primary Election Day. Voting at your designated polls.

  • GENERAL ELECTION DAY is Tuesday, November 4, 2008 Polls are open 6:00AM to 8:00PM.
  • February 5, 2008 is the Presidential PRIMARY Election.

    OTHER ELECTION REMINDERS
    21 DAY VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Even though the official NJ Voter Registration Form still reflects the 29 day voter registration deadline as of the publication date for this issue of the Quill. Be aware that the 21 day voter registration deadline went into effect as of January 1, 2006.

    NO EXCUSES ABSENTEE BALLOT: Last day to apply by mail for Absentee Ballots is January 29, 2008 Voters no longer need to provide a reason for wanting to vote by Absentee Ballot in New Jersey. If you still have the old absentee ballot application forms, discard them and secure a set of the updated forms at: http://www.state.nj.us/lps/elections/absentee_doe.html

  • Monday, April 16th. is the last day to file party declaration forms to change political party affiliation for the June Primary.

    General Election Day is Tuesday, November 6, 2007 Polls are open between 6:00AM AND 8:00PM.
  • Tuesday, October 30, 2007 is the last day to apply by mail for an Absentee Ballot for the 2007 General Election.

    Voter Registration Information

    Applications for registration are available from the LEHT Municipal Clerk, 665 Radio Road, LEHT, offices of the Division of Motor Vehicles, Ocean County Clerk's Office, and from the New Jersey Division of Elections.

    The same form may be used for name and address changes.

    We cannot accept faxed copies or electronic transmission of the voter registration form because an original signature is required.
